We are a small, passionate team using film and photography to reveal the real needs of Tanzanian communities — and connect them with people who want to help.

The Asaphites Foundation is a startup NGO based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We are filmmakers, photographers, and community workers who believe that a well-told story can change things.
We are not a large organisation. We do not have decades of experience. What we have is a deep love for Tanzania, a camera, and a conviction that the communities around us deserve to be seen and heard by the world.
We are just getting started — and we are inviting you to be part of it from the beginning.
Everything we document falls within one of these — each chosen because storytelling can unlock real change.

In a village outside Dodoma, families walk two hours every morning for water that is not clean. This is one of the first stories we told — and it is why we exist.
"Nobody had ever come to film us before. We did not think anyone cared."
These are our current projects. Small budgets, real impact.
